>> Monday, February 02, 2009
The above advert was recently released by Action for Children.
What do you think the key message is?
What impression does it give?
What issues does it highlight?
With Regards
John

It depends on whether or not your autistic.
It depends on if you're more interested in presenting an heroic struggle against all the odds for the purpose of fundraising.
It depends on your level of understanding of the lives of autistics.
It depends on whether you have suffered at the hands of others like "Dan".
It depends on all sorts of things.
As someone who used to work for the ad agency who made it said "It's all about context".
If I present a portrait on TV of a mad methodist child beater, you may take exception. You may think everyone will think we're all mad and thrash children for casual representation.
It all depends...
No one's interested except us John.
Since there's so few of us, perhaps we should all work together.
Lots of important things going on in the world don't interest most people.
They do however, get very very excited when Woolworth's goes busts.
Another one of the Dan Story's ad agency clients.
Soho Ad Agency + Methodists? It's not going to work is it?
I am curious about this entire post and the comments, and all the deleted comments, and curious about what Socrates meant. I work with special needs teens here in USA. Many people do care and work hard to help others in need... but of course autism cannot be "cured." Your 3-days-later explanation... where is it? I'm curious.
To clarify, I am curious about Socrates' 2nd message where he says most people don't care and that Soho + Methodism isn't going to work.
